The Creation of Eve
After Allah had created Adam and cursed Iblees, Allah created the first woman, who was to be Adam's wife. Her name was Eve (or Hawwa in Arabic).
One day when Adam was sleeping, Allah took a rib from Adam's back and caused flesh to grow in its place. From this rib, Allah made Eve. This happened before Adam was put in Paradise. Islamic texts do not reveal anything more about Eve's creation than what has just been mentioned.
"O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women."
